Peppermint Bear Scavenger Hunt 

Downtown Hendersonville NC; November 27th-December 23rd

Peppermint the Bear sent her cubs around town to find holiday decorations, but they have gotten a bit lost. You and your family can help her search for her missing cubs. Visit participating vendors around Hendersonville NC for the chance to win prizes.

Holidays at the Hendersonville Farmers Market

650 Maple St. Hendersonville, NC; November 28th, December 5th

Join in the festivities and get some shopping done at this lively holiday-themed market, with fresh produce, baked goods, and handmade products from Hendersonville county. It’s a great place to shop for local gifts and treats and enjoy the festive atmosphere with friends and family.

Winter Lights at the NC Arboretum

NC Arboretum, 100 Frederick Law Olmsted Way, Asheville NC; November 20th at 5:30, daily

This huge annual light display has been converted into a drive-through light show. Visitors enjoy lights from their own vehicle along a mile-long stretch to see thousands of lights arranged in the beautiful wintry setting of the N.C. Arboretum. This daily event starts late November and runs through early January.

Christmas in the Greenhouse

Bee-utiful Farm and Garden, Hendersonville NC; December 3rd-December 5th 

from 2-8pm Thurs, 10-8 Fri, 9-4 sat

This weekend-long event is located at Hendersonville NC’s own Bee-utiful Farm and Garden. Shop for holiday wreaths and made goods, enjoy s’mores by the campfire, and visit the animals on this working farm, which is all decorated with holiday lights and cheer.

Santa on the Chimney

Chimney Rock State Park; December 5th, December 12th

This annual tradition has been going strong since 1997. To train for their holiday gift delivery spree, Mr. and Mrs. Claus get in shape hiking to the tallest chimney — which happens to be Chimney Rock in Hendersonville NC’s backyard! Visit Santa and his live animal guests between 11am and 2pm to deliver your wishlist, listen to live music, and enjoy some cookies and cocoa in the beautiful forest setting.
